For New Forest Landowners
New landowners may also be interested in receiving a Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department "Welcome Wagon" Kit. The "Welcome Wagon" kit was designed to introduce new landowners to conservation and management strategies that:
- enhance wildlife conservation and reinforce the most resource-friendly aspects of land stewardship
- foster conservation and appropriate management to minimize forest fragmentation
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department entered into an agreement with the COVERTS program to distribute these kits on behalf of the Department in the spring of 2012. All inquiries regarding the kits should be made to COVERTS. Visit their website for more information: http://www.vtcoverts.org/resources.php
